A manly walk

Another beautiful Sydney day. Vikram, David, Saikiya and I took the train down to Meadowbank to catch the rivercat ferry into the centre of Sydney. It was cold but beautiful!

We warmed up with a cup of tea at Circular Quay before catching the Manly ferry across to Manly. We walked around to Shelley Beach for a fish-n-chips lunch before setting off on one of my favourite walks in Sydney.

We went up the cliffs, walked across to the "Lost Lagoon", continued amongst all the banksias and wattle trees (spring seems to arrived!), searched (unsuccessfully for bandicoots), ambled down to Collins Beach to look for penguins (failed, but did spot our first dead cuttlefish) and then back into Manly. We then spotted another dead cuttlefish.

The ferry ride back was fun. The crossing was rather rough and we got rather wet!
