errr .... I'm suffering from post-Parkes syndrome (i.e. very, very, very tired). On the positive side, I've managed to get wireless installed in my house. It took about three hours and rather too many swear words, but I'm updating this blog using it and so it's working now! The box that the equipment came in says "Click 'n connect" -- ha!I've also organised my talk for the 2007 Orange conference, which will take place in Canberra in 2008 (don't ask!). I'll be discussing pulsar glitches. This is partly because my summer student has just finished a project on this and also because I've just got a grant to work with the University of Melbourne on the formation on glitches.
Tomorrow, I'm going to be rehearsing in the TOPS orchestra. I'm looking forward to this, but it will be the first time that I've played in an orchestra since M. left and everybody will want to know where she is.
Christine emailed me and we're planning a trip into the outback sometime during April. Any suggestions?
I still feel very strange being at home alone. There's no problem when other people are staying. I'm thinking of moving house, but don't really want the fuss of organising a move. Perhaps a good sleep would be just as effective and not quite so expensive!!

Hello George! You could walk from Orange to Eugowra and blaze a bushranger trail - evidently there's a cache at Escort Rock. As regards feeling adrift in the house, you could take in a lodger - choose someone loud and irritating, of course, for the best effect.
The previous comment in a virus. I would suggest that you delete it (and this one which then won't make any sense) to protect those poor benighted folk who are still using Microsoft's Windows Operating System.
I seem to be getting messages that say "See here" after posting every blog entry now. Do not click on them. I delete them as they come up, but if they get worse then I'll have to put a password on leaving messages.
Wireless.... you mean 2.4GHz radio interference..... damn it, you'll be buying a nice mobile phone (with camera and internet) like the rest of us next??

errr, yes. The interference did occur to me. I hang my head in shame (but have no plans to get a mobile anytime soon)!
