and an echidna

The wildlife here is really wonderful. I've been trying to photograph the "red-rumped parrots" which are everywhere, but fly away as soon as you get close. However, the echidna didn't fly away and allowed my to walk up to it to take some close-up photographs! I also have to put up yet another photo of a kangaroo (this time with a joey in her pouch). I went on an enjoyable 5km walk around the area yesterday and found a huge number of kangaroos!

Hi George

Glad you didn't come across any flying echidnas ;)

Cheers

Have you seen an echidna with a puggle in its pouch? (I've been looking them up in the wikipedia).

Unfortunately I haven't seen any puggles. I look out next time!

You got a lot closer to this one than we managed with the echidna that we saw in Sydney. We saw it cross the path ahead of us, we marked where it disappered into the bush, but could we find it ... oh no. Well done.
